Our Mission

The Equine Healing Collaborative was created to provide a path to recovery, self-discovery, and personal growth through the use of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that offers our psychotherapy services on a sliding scale, and we bill various insurance companies including Medi-Cal. All of our clinicians are driven to help others tap into the healing power of horses and donkeys, and help change the way people experience mental health care.

What Is Equine Assisted Psychotherapy?
At The Equine Healing Collaborative, we’re often asked:
What exactly is Equine Assisted Psychotherapy?
What do you do with the horses?
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is a clinically grounded, metaphorical and experiential form of psychotherapy that incorporates horses into the therapeutic process. Clients work with licensed mental health professionals and equines in structured sessions designed to address trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, and more. The horses are not ridden, they are partners in the healing process, offering honest, nonverbal feedback that helps clients develop insight, regulation, and connection.
