EHC’S DOG PROGRAM · PEOPLE, DOGS & COMMUNITY
Growing compassion.
Connecting dogs, youth and community.
EHC’s Dog Program brings young people and rescue dogs together through training and daily care. It’s a program of the Equine Healing Collaborative (EHC), currently based at Monterey County Juvenile Hall. EHC plans to expand it to other locations and formats.
A moment of connection.
EHC’S DOG PROGRAM
Learning goes
both ways.
Young people bring ideas, patience and care to the program. They practice teaching cues and noticing what a dog needs while rescue dogs prepare for life in a home. South County Animal Rescue (SCAR) is EHC’s rescue partner. This program is separate from EHC’s therapy services with horses.
Learning together.
Make a difference.
